Bringing a festive touch to Christmas in Cambridge
It’s beginning to look a lot like ‘Christmas in Cambridge’.
We joined Seventa Events, Cambridge Dining Co. and over 19 local and independent businesses to create an unforgettable end-of-year celebration for 3,000 employees at leading technology provider on December 7, 2024, as an extension of Christmas in Cambridge.
Simon Brooks, founder of Seventa Events, explained, “The client’s community-driven ethos runs deep and keeping the event close to home was important to all involved. The client wanted to keep the event local to Cambridge to minimise their environmental and local impact. The next step for us was figuring out how far we could take the concept.
From the ease of set-up to the team’s experience, Evolution Dome’s structures gave us a new level of flexibility that went a long way in helping us meet our goals of creating a low-impact event.”
To add an extra festive touch to the event, we brought over 14,000 sqft of structures to set the stage for the evening entertainment including a disco and live bands! Needing only 16 hours to deploy, the dome’s inflatable nature brought Seventa helped Seventa reach its goal of creating a low-impact event by rescuing the time and resources needed for set up.
Simon Day, founder of Cambridge Dining Co. added, “With almost everyone involved being local to Cambridge, we were able to work on a scale that is not always possible for us individually. From fresh food to crew, every supplier we worked with brought a spark of Cambridge with them; The togetherness helped us create something great and I think it really showed in the final experience.”
Both domes were fitted with flooring, carpet, lighting doors and climate control to help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere no matter what the winter weather throws attendees’ way.
Our director, Ash Austin, concluded, “With any festive event there is a lot to consider, especially when many parts are working together for the same goal. We’ve built a lot of trust with Seventa Events and Cambridge Dining Co. over the years and it goes a long way in building experiences that feel seamless for attendees.”
