Client Brief
Throughout 2024, RUN SOCIAL saw its community running events transition from a small group of people running on London Bridge to a full event with over 500 people in attendance at both Olympic Park and Battersea Park.
With such a large growth, the debut of the FNL XL Festival Series required a temporary Structure partner to accommodate for the hundreds of runners from across the UK set to gather for an evening filled with lights, music, and fitness. The client chose a 20m inflatable Evolution Dome to serve as a community hub, hosting a range of activities throughout the event.
Objective
In the addition to comfortably hosting up to 500 attendees, there were strict licensing restrictions at the venues, the dome needed to be installed and de-rigged within a 2-hour window. Each day the site opened at 1 pm with a live start time of 5 pm and lasted until 10 pm; The team were left with two hours to clear the site before the midnight curfew.
The Results
The 20-meter structure provided a remarkable visual presence and offered sufficient space for the 500-capacity audience.
