Evolution Dome wins the race against time for LEGO Formula 1 Activation at Battersea Power Station

We recently had the incredible opportunity to help bring LEGO’s high-speed “Build the Thrill” event to life at Battersea Power Station. Our signature inflatable structures were deployed with lightning speed, proving once again why we’re the go-to choice for events with tight schedules – we only had three hours for both build and de-rig on either side of the event!

In celebration of the British Grand Prix, LEGO transformed the iconic London landmark with an array of family-friendly Formula 1 activities. Attendees were treated to a life-sized McLaren F1 car built entirely from LEGO bricks, thrilling reaction time challenges, and a giant outdoor screen showing the race live.

To create branded, flexible event spaces right outside the power station, we supplied and installed seven of our 6m x 6m X Pods and one 15m x 6m Air Roof. The X Pods featured custom-printed walls, providing an eye-catching backdrop that perfectly showcased LEGO’s brand activation. They also offered ideal shelter for interactive build stations and fantastic photo opportunities.

The inflatable structures were specifically chosen for their unparalleled speed of installation and adaptability. With just a three-hour window for setup and pack-down, our team delivered a seamless turnaround, ensuring the pop-up event space was live on time and cleared promptly afterwards.

The free-to-attend event drew massive crowds of families, LEGO fans, and Formula 1 enthusiasts, all eager to get up close to the life-sized LEGO McLaren racer and other themed attractions.
